As an artist I know that I have an opportunity to affect someone with my images. I want my work to connect to people and their emotions. As I strive to make a positive impact in this world and not let my talents go to waste, I am humbled by the responsibility to make a difference for good.
I was born in San Francisco, California and moved to Little Rock, Arkansas when I was 5. My favorite things growing up was playing in the water sprinkler with my younger brother, ride our red wagon around, dress up as a cowboy, and watch cartoons.
Something I have noticed about art is that it keeps me real. There are many things in today’s society that distract us. You don’t see the real side of people that much. You can almost live a virtual existence. Everything moves so quickly and everyone wants everything right away. Art slows me down and I get to reflect on what I think is important in life.
It is a blessing to be able to create art and to have the opportunity to leave a lasting impression. My goal with my work is to love others. Hopefully one day I will be able to say that I have seen the world and fought the good fight.
In Him,
Samuel.

sixty seconds worth of distance run…”
